James Cook University

James Cook University is best known for its commitment to environmental research. However, it is also one of Australia’s top-ranked providers of tertiary education, and even considered among the best worldwide. Five of its campuses are located in northern Queensland which is an area surrounded by rainforests and close to the Great Barrier Reef, with its largest campuses located in Townsville and Cairns, while its two other satellite campuses are located in Brisbane and in Singapore. Its courses cover the areas of Science, Creative Arts, Business, Social Sciences, Journalism, Law, Medicine, Engineering and Education, some of which can be delivered online and diploma courses are also offered to help ease students into university life.
