Welding And Fabrication

Welding is defined as the process of joining metals together, which is precisely what you will master when you enroll in the Welding/Fabrication program. In particular you will learn about the different positions in welding – flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead – and you will also study each welding technique in detail, particularly the Oxy-Acetylene welding technique (OAW), the Shielded Metal Arc welding technique (SMAW), the Gas Metal Arc welding technique (MIG) and the Gas Tungsten Arc welding technique (TIG). You will also learn about pipe welding, welding metallurgy and how to read welding fabrication prints, as well as how to use welding in the maritime industry.
