Veterinary Studies

Enrolling in the Veterinary Studies program puts you on the right track to being a veterinarian, teaching you everything you need to know about how to care for the health of animals, both wild animals in the zoo setting and domestic animals in the clinic setting. In particular, you will study the various aspects of biology in relation to veterinary care such as veterinary anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, toxicology, pathology, immunology and parasitology. You will also learn how to identify a wide variety of veterinary disorders, both common and rare ones, how to conduct examinations on various animals, how to extract specimens, veterinary first aid, wound care and veterinary surgery. You will study the basics of animal nutrition and animal reproduction as well.
