Public Health

The Public Health program is offered as a postgraduate program for those who seek a higher administrative post in the healthcare sector which deals with preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting good health practices. The program is divided into seven areas – behavioral and community health sciences, which covers topics such as health and population and health issues in immigrant populations; biostatistics; environmental and occupational health sciences, which covers toxicology and risk sciences; epidemiology which is further broken down into specialized fields such as reproductive epidemiology, cancer epidemiology and nutritional epidemiology; health policy and management; and infectious diseases and microbiology, which covers viral pathogenesis and HIV prevention.
