Photography And Film Studies

Some universities combine Photography and Film Studies into a single program while others offer them separately. Photography programs provide intensive training in photography, beginning with the basic photography techniques and concepts before moving on to advanced techniques and specialized training in fields such as photojournalism, editorial photography, fashion photography, food photography, portraiture and advertising. Film Studies, on the other hand, focuses on film theory, filmmaking, cinema editing, film production, scriptwriting and screenwriting, including special topics such as World War II films, Asian films and Film Comedy. Aside from learning how to make movies, you will be educated on how to analyze and criticize these so you can build a career as a film critic if you choose.
