Environment And Natural Resources

The Environment/Natural Resources program, also called Environmental Studies or Environmental Science, places a focus on environmental resources, particularly their preservation, conservation and efficient utilization. In the beginning of the program, though, students will first study courses in the Natural Sciences, particularly biology, geology, chemistry and physics, as well as Social Science courses such as economics, anthropology, history and psychology. Only after these have been discussed will the program move on to more specialized topics or the core courses which include environmental health, wastewater treatment system design, waste management, conservation of energy resources, conservation biology, ecological design and permaculture design.
