Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts prepares you for a career in the professional kitchen, whether as a sauté chef, fish chef, fry chef, grill chef, vegetable chef, roast chef, pastry chef, a line cook or even a kitchen assistant. In particular, you will learn about the cooking techniques and popular dishes in various cuisines, including Asian Cuisine, American Cuisine and European and Mediterranean Cuisine, and you will also learn baking techniques, with special courses in baking bread and cakes, as well as cake decoration. In addition, you will learn the principles of food arrangement, food safety, foodservice sanitation, culinary math, basic nutrition and customer service.
