If you have always wanted to help other people by giving them advice and guidance or simply emotional support in their times of distress, you’ll want to look into the Counseling program which allows you to do just that. The Counseling program will teach you about the different counseling techniques and therapies, such as the cognitive and behavioral therapies, the psychoanalytical and psychodynamic therapies, humanistic therapies, integrative therapies, play therapy and hypnotherapy. You will also learn how to counsel specific cases, such as victims of substance abuse, victims of physical abuse, victims of sexual abuse, children, women, couples and families, as well as the basics of counseling in various settings, including the welfare setting, healthcare setting and educational setting.
